Hollywood, CA - Unconfirmed reports say several industry executives walked out of a recent Angelrage showcase, disgusted and covered in gore, with one calling it "the bloodiest spectacle I've ever seen". Others among the shocked crowd agreed: "too much," "sick," and other expletives not fit to print all found their voice. According to the source, who asked to remain anonymous, the show apparently started innocently enough. One viewer said, "It looked like heaven. There was white fog all over the stage, with flickers of lightning under the clouds and beams of white light. Very beautiful." The band, clad in white futuristic-looking armour, emerged from the fog with all white instruments. "It looked very majestic until they started playing." Apparently the crowd, expecting perhaps a rehash of Fight the Devil, was stunned when the group launched into the title track from their forthcoming CD with fury. As the group pounded out the brutal self-titled track, singer Azrael (sic) took a flaming sword (yes, a REAL sword), accompanied by geysers of fire and blood, which took everyone by surprise. Everyone in the first 10 rows was covered in it. Some were obviously not amused, others walked out. The band was transformed from pristine white angels into blood spattered warriors over the course of the very short set. No in between song raps. One song after another, each more brutal than the last, culminating in a supercharged version of the bands international hit, Fight the Devil. When it was over, the crowd stood in stunned silence as the band disappeared into the haze from which they had emerged. The ovation they recieved from the survivors was overwhelming. The new vision of Angelrage is breath-taking. The band is totally unrecognizable, each member's face obscured by the glow that seems to emanate from them. Some described them as angels. Others thought they looked like aliens. The world has never seen a spectacle like this. It's going to be huge. A disgusted exec was quoted as saying, "I didn't come here to see f**king Helter Skelter!" Another summed it up when he said, "That was the scariest thing I've ever seen." Asked how it had affected him, he replied, " I'm going to start going to church!" The band is expected to release new music very shortly. Stay tuned... |
